Situated in a Landmarks district, a desired modern addition to this historic 1880’s home proved very challenging. An aesthetic “bridge” had to span the desires of our client and the stringent requirements of the Chicago Landmarks Commission. The project features Linoleum floors, repurposed materials, permeable driveway pavers, recycled content roof shingles, hardiboard siding, and low voc paints.
