The events of Sept 11, intended to accentuate our differences, instead exposed a layer of common ground. 92 nationalities united in loss, manifest in 92 strands of stainless steel fabric running along the ground plain turning upwards at the sides of where tower 1 & 2 once stood. Woven horizontally across these stands are 365 strands. The resulting matrix defines a space of reflection; an inhabited calendar of birthdays, one to celebrate the life of each victim.
